Move over, Midnight. The Little Black Dress will always be classic and chic, but early summer fashion found crisp, clean, bright rays of white shining brightly where dark shadows once reigned supreme.
It makes sense, really. Black is a nice, dramatic staple of fashion, sure, but white is light, fun, flirty, and a nice cool change of pace in the hot summer months(at least in the Northern Hemisphere), where black can often be heavy, thick, and perhaps a bit too warm for July.
It is a route designers all over have taken this summer. Givenchy, Chanel, and Topshop all dove in headfirst with flirty frocks, sleek silhouettes, and lots and lots of drama.
