Embraced III

I've been making some amazing stuff lately. I splurged and got some sterling silver wire and this is one of two I was able to make with it.

The glass is a piece of blue dichroic glass fused with green bullseye glass, 90coe. I fired this to a full fuse, which is something I rarely do because I generally don't like how much shape they lose. For some reason this time it actually worked. XD

The ring shank is 14g round sterling silver wire, half-hard. I hammered the ends flat to wrap them around the fused glass, and secured it further with 20g silver-plated copper wire. I really like how this piece turned out, it's one of my favorites for sure. I like the contrast between the hammered wire and the thin wrapped wire. Definitely plan on doing more in this style.
